The Sevenson and USA Environmental, Inc. (USA) joint venture won a $28M - 5 year contract for Explosive Decontamination and Removal of Outside Sewer Lines at ten sites within the Former Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant (SFAAP), located in DeSoto, Kansas. SFAAP encompasses approximately 9,060 acres, and the primary work at the site includes removal and decontamination of sewers and underground infrastructure that potentially contain explosive materials and residue. Related environmental remediation work includes investigation and cleanup of potential contamination underneath the sewers lines and associated building foundations. The Sevenson-USA JV looks forward to performing this scope of work for USACE, Kansas City District.
